Bible Study
I just cam back from Bible Study and had a very interesting topic. I have a tendency to think that if my circumstances would change then my confidence would change. I think that the insecurity I feel now would go away if only my circumstances would......... and the longer i am around the more I realize that is not true. Something that was said tonight really stuck with me. "Wherever you go there you are". In other words, though where you live or where you work may change you still will remain the same person, and those struggles you had before don't go away. i think I am learning that though my circumstances may change if my assurance is not in the Lord that security that peace will never be there. No matter what stage of life im in. just something that struck me.

Interesting Book
I have been reading Blackwater: The Rise of the Worlds Most Powerful Mercenary Army. It is a very interesting book especially to Christian Evangelicals from the Midwest. It is an eye opener, but I won't say anymore. Recommended.

XP trip
Craig made it

So I found out craig made it the other day. I am super excited for him to get up here. It will be great to go through team together. I feel incredibly blessed to be doing this at the same time. I just got back from the field last week. It is starting to snow up in the mountains which makes for really good preparation for winter class. The worst part about going out in the field in the winter is getting out of your sleeping bag in the morning. Ooooo...man. it is cold. But, everytime I am out there I build on my skills and my confidence. The first day we were out there we had to build a fire in wet conditions. This is always fun because nothing really lights when it is wet. So it is a lesson in patience. We also did a fire when it was snowing and to give us alittle more motivation to get it started the cadre made us take our shirts off so we get the "whole expierience". Anyways, it is alot of fun out there. Here are a couple pics from the last time we were at field. The giant structure that you see is called a quad pod. This is usually at the center of camp and what we build over the fire to keep the rain off. There is also a picture of us at pt in there. Ill check in again soon.
